The Convertible Rehab Staircase Training Stairs are a versatile and space-efficient solution designed for physical therapy, rehabilitation, gait training, and functional mobility exercises. This system allows clinics to configure the stairs as either a straight (linear) staircase or an L-shaped staircase, depending on space and training needs. The modular design also allows installation on the left or right side, providing maximum flexibility for clinical environments.
The staircase features 4-step and 8-step sections connected by a 30" x 30" central platform, allowing therapists to safely progress patients through different levels of stair climbing, balance training, and lower-extremity rehabilitation. The platform provides a stable resting and turning area, ideal for patients with limited mobility or those relearning stair navigation.
Constructed with an all-hardwood plywood base, the unit is built for long-term clinical use. Each step is finished with anti-slip safety treads to ensure secure footing and reduce the risk of slipping. The underside is reinforced with bracing, adding strength and stability during use.
For patient safety and therapist confidence, the staircase is equipped with solid wood, double-layer handrails on both sides. The handrails are supported by powder-coated 2" x 2" steel uprights, offering excellent durability and resistance to wear. PVC edge tape is applied to exposed edges for added protection and a clean, professional finish.
Designed for demanding rehabilitation environments, this staircase system supports a maximum weight capacity of 500 lbs and requires a minimum ceiling height of 10 feet for proper installation.
